| The Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) announced its provisional alignment today, the 65 team national league reaffirming its position as second only to the Women's Pro Soccer. With teams across the country switching to WPSL and others disbanding completely, the rival W-League now has only 22 teams in the United States, plus 7 in Canada.

In the final weekend of summer tournaments, the youngest Morris County Colonials and Millburn Magic teams took part in the Ocean City Splash Bash beach tournament while four Colonials and Magic teams were involved in the Finals Weekend of the Youth Premier Soccer League.
